Efektivitas Coating Reflektif dalam Menurunkan Temperatur Permukaan Atap Bangunan Tropis

Peningkatan temperatur global dan fenomena urban heat island meningkatkan beban pendinginan bangunan di wilayah tropis, sehingga diperlukan strategi pendinginan pasif yang efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi secara eksperimental efektivitas coating reflektif BeCool dalam menurunkan temperatur permukaan atap dan udara dalam bangunan tropis serta menganalisis implikasinya terhadap potensi pengurangan beban pendinginan. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen lapangan dengan desain before-after comparison pada bangunan struktur ringan di Kabupaten Subang, Jawa Barat. Pengukuran temperatur dilakukan pada tiga titik (udara ruang, atap sisi timur, dan atap sisi barat) menggunakan data logger selama enam hari pada kondisi cuaca cerah. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi coating menurunkan temperatur rata-rata permukaan atap sisi timur sebesar 10,5°C (27%), sisi barat sebesar 5,2°C (13,9%), dan temperatur udara ruang sebesar 3,9°C (12,3%). Secara keseluruhan terjadi reduksi temperatur rata-rata sebesar 6,5°C (17,7%). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan reflektansi surya dan emisivitas termal secara signifikan mengurangi akumulasi panas pada bangunan tropis ringan serta berpotensi menurunkan beban energi sistem pendinginan.
