Transisi dari Pendidikan Tinggi Menuju Pekerjaan pada Mahasiswa Jurusan Sosiologi dan Ilmu Politik FISIP Universitas Jenderal Soedirman

Pemuda bertransisi menuju tahap dewasa melalui dua medium yaitu pendidikan tinggi dan kerja. Setelah menyelesaikan pendidikan tinggi di universitas, pemuda berupaya untuk mengkonversi modal sosial yang didapat melalui pendidikan menjadi pekerjaan yang layak dan linear. Namun, pada era kapitalisme tingkat lanjut, proyeksi tersebut seringkali tidak berjalan lurus dan terjadi “zig-zag journey.” Artikel ini membahas proses transisi yang dialami pemuda sebagai mahasiswa di Jurusan Sosiologi dan Ilmu Politik, Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman. Kebaruan artikel ini terletak pada pertama cara membaca proyeksi transisi pemuda dengan mengaitkan pemberian kurikulum di pendidikan tinggi sebagai cara memperoleh modal sosial menuju pekerjaan pasca pendidikan tinggi dan kedua dalam membaca transisi pasca pendidikan tinggi dikaitkan dengan linearitas, kapitalisme tingkat lanjut dan “zig-zag journey”. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan review literatur. Sumber data utama adalah dokumen kurikulum tahun 2020 dan tracer study dari Fakultas tahun 2022. Temuan artikel ini menunjukkan bahwa tiga parameter transisi mahasiswa setelah lulus kuliah yang didapat dari olahan data tracer study menunjukan arah yang maju untuk menuju tahapan dewasa. Meskipun demikian ketika melihat faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap transisi pemuda menuju dewasa di luar pendidikan tinggi, masih terdapat kemungkinan yang sangat besar yang membuat para pemuda terjebak “zig-zag journey”.
