Abstrak

Penerapan AI Chatbot dalam pendidikan tinggi menghadapi tantangan terkait keamanan data dan privasi pengguna. Kekhawatiran terhadap pengumpulan dan analisis data pribadi dalam skala besar dapat menghambat penerimaan dan adopsi teknologi ini di kalangan mahasiswa. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi penerimaan dan adopsi AI Chatbot dengan menekankan peran Perceived Trust sebagai faktor utama. Penelitian ini menggunakan model Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) yang telah dimodifikasi dengan variabel AI Chatbot Awareness, Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Intelligence, Perceived Trust, dan AI Chatbot Adoption Intention. Data dikumpulkan dari 570 mahasiswa Universitas Pembangunan Nasional "Veteran" Jawa Timur melalui kuesioner dan dianalisis menggunakan Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa AI Chatbot Awareness berpengaruh positif terhadap AI Chatbot Adoption Intention, dengan Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, dan Perceived Intelligence sebagai mediator. Selain itu, Perceived Trust berperan sebagai moderator yang memengaruhi hubungan antara AI Chatbot Awareness dengan ketiga variabel tersebut. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa kepercayaan menjadi kunci dalam meningkatkan penerimaan dan adopsi AI Chatbot. Oleh karena itu, peningkatan transparansi, keamanan data, serta optimalisasi manfaat chatbot perlu menjadi fokus utama dalam pengembangannya di lingkungan akademik.
